Job Summary

OHW is currently looking for Project Manager to work for  winterization programm in rural areas in Bamian, Balkh and Kunduz Afghanistan provinces The main objective of the winterization is to support the very poor and vulnerable people  in  in rural areas in Bamyan , Kunduz and Balkh  provinces is "To save the life of people and increase the their access to the cash, food and fuel for their winter in target communities that will enable them to create a buffer in case of shocks and slow onset changes to their livelihoods system, increase their well-being, and invest in adaptation strategies the project manager will be responsible to manage the OHW project and project staff at the provincial level" and also are responsible in oral OHW representation in the coordination communication, monitoring and reporting.

 Position Objectives

 The Project manager  as main resource person within organization is responsible for managing winterization project in rural areas in Bamyan , Kunduz and Balkh  provinces the project manager is responsible for the project management , coordination, OHW representation, communication and staff capacity building  and good coordination and communication with stakeholders and we are expected to achieve the project objective:

Key Responsibilities

The titled position will be mainly responsible in overall management of the project activities at oversight and provide field assistance to the field teams in Monitoring, Evaluation, learnings and leadership. Besides that the post holder will be also responsible for supporting community institutions and enterprises in building business development plans. The main responsibilities of the titled position are:

Overall responsibility of the project delivery at field level
Ensure that project management and implementation is in line with OHW organizational standards and procedures.
Responsible for daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, six months and annual report to OHW and donor
Liaison with community, beneficiaries, CDC, government related department and all stakeholder in defining objectives and approach of the Programme implementation.

Responsible for regular monitoring of project delivery in the communities, providing feedback and keeping records and documentation.
Consolidating the project staff reports according to the donor requirements on a timely basis.

Ensure donor contract management and reporting mechanisms.

Providing support for the project staff and developing activity plans, action plans, guidelines and manuals.

Ensure staff safety and security procedures are monitored, updated and implemented.
Support OHW Country team in building of implementation strategy for each component of the project.
Developing capacity building plans for staff, communities, community development councils, enterprises and producer groups.

Overall management of the project staff, conducting performance reviews and personnel development plans.

Develop monitoring framework for the project and ensure adherence.
Oversee and implement baseline, mid-term reviews and impact studies.
Capacity building of the project team in monitoring and evaluation.
Collection of success stories and documentation of most significant change stories.
Ensure mainstreaming of gender, disability and conflict sensitivity throughout the project.
The project manager is responsible for the good coordination and communication with the governments, other stakeholders and donor
The project manager is responsible for future fundraising and organization sustainability.
The project manager is responsible for the proposal development and provides required information from provincial level.
Conducting need assessment at the provincial level
Joining to the any joint assessment are planned by donor or coordination body.
Other OHW management responsibility giving to the project manager.
