Why does the SheCodes Foundation offer this program?
In Afghanistan, where girls’ education stops at grade 6 and accessing higher education poses significant challenges, the need for alternative learning pathways is urgent. With only 7% of Afghan women having a financial account, investing in further education is a dream far out of reach for many. Additionally, over 2 million Afghan refugees have had to abandon their homes and face the daunting task of rebuilding their lives and careers in unfamiliar territories. SheCodes Foundation bridges this gap by offering 5,000 Afghan women and refugees the chance to learn coding skills—free.
What does the program offer?
–Comprehensive Coding Workshops: Designed for beginners, SheCodes Foundation’s workshops will equip you with essential coding skills and prepare you for new career opportunities in the tech industry.
– No-Cost Education: Shecodes Foundation believes financial hardship should not be a barrier to education, so this program is completely free.
– A Supportive Community: Join a network of ambitious women on the same journey as you. Gain access to resources, support, and motivation to help you succeed.
Duration: up to 6 months
What you will learn?
It’s a 6 month coding training that’ll take you from a beginner to a professional.
You will learn everything that SheCodes has to offer, from HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to React, Responsive development, and development tools. You will also get to build your own online portfolio to showcase to potential employers!

- Motivated to learn how to code
