Eligibility Criteria

Selection Process

The selection process is as follows:

  • Final selection by the Victoria Research Scholarships Committee
  • Applicants nominated by the relevant School and Faculty
  • Offers made approximately six weeks after each closing date (March, July, November)
  • Further offers may be made if initial offers are declined
  • Final notifications may take up to three months after application

How to Apply?

  • Please complete the online application form by 4:30 p.m. on the closing date (1 March, 1 July, 1 November).
  • Ensure all required supporting documents, including references, are submitted by the deadline.
  • Await notification by email regarding the outcome of your application within six to eight weeks of the closing date.
  • If successful, sign the Wellington Doctoral Research Scholarship Contract and commence your studies within the stipulated timeframe.
